RABBI JUDAH HULKOWER,
Congregation Kneseth Israel is proud to welcome Rabbi Judah Hulkower as our new Youth Director.
A native of Los Angeles, Rabbi Hulkower learned at Yeshiva Ohr Yerushalayim in Israel for two years,
received his B.A. from Yeshiva University, and received his s’michah from Yeshiva Rabbeinu Yitzchak
Elchanan. He is currently completing his masters degree from the Azrieli School of Jewish Education
and Administration.
Rabbi Hulkower, a well-loved and popular Rebbe at HAFTR Middle School, comes to us with over a
decade of experience in youth work, ranging from coast to coast and from first grade through twelfth.
For the past two years, he served as the Assistant Youth Director at the Young Israel of
West Hempstead.
He and his wife Judy live in Lawrence with their children, Chani, Yisrael Zev, Akiva Shraga,
Yosef Simcha, Atara, and Shira. And if that doesn’t keep him busy enough; Rabbi Hulkower
is a featured drummer for the Neshoma Orchestra and is sought after by many to perform at simchas.

Shabbos Morning Groups - The White Shul has the premier Youth Department in Far Rockaway offering a wide range of Shabbos
morning groups that are both fun, educational; and they make coming to shul awesome. They include:
Nursery-kindergarten groups - led by Faigie Heimlich from 9:45 to 11:15.
Short davening, play-time, parsha and a story. This group is a great place for children and parents alike to meet new people. Many
of the mothers stay close by to the group and daven and socialize among themselves.
1st and 2nd grade boys group - led by Rabbi Eliezer Fuld
1st and 2 and girls group - led by Riva Singer.
These groups also run from 9:45 - 11:15. The groups include davening, game time, a story, parsha questions and Kiddush/Tish.
3rd-5th grade girls group - led by Freidy Osina. This group will also run from
9:45 - 11:15. The girls daven, talk in depth about the parsha and play games.
Junior Congregation for boys grades 3-6 - led by Rabbi Dovid Libman, an experienced Rebbe in HALB elementary school.
This group runs from 9:30 - 11:00 and teaches boys how to run their own minyan and Nusach Hatefilah.
Sunday Morning Program will commence after Succos.
In addition to the Shabbos and Sunday activities, we run trips and events around the Yomim Tovim and other events
hroughout the year.
