YAMIM NORA’IM SEAT RESERVATION

Dear Member:

Chodesh Tov.  We hope you are enjoying the last of the summer.  It’s hard to believe but, the Yamim Nora’im are quickly approaching.

S’lichos will begin this year on Motza’ei Shabbos, September 5, and Rosh HaShanah will begin on Sunday night, September 13.  The Shul is busy preparing for what we hope will be an incredible and uplifting Elul and Yamim Nora’im experience for our mispallelim.

Those of us who daven at the White Shul on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur leave feeling inspired and spiritually nourished.  There is a palpable sense of רוחניות and אחדות.  If you daven with us during the year, you won’t want to miss our beautiful davening on the Yamim Nora’im.  We encourage you to make the White Shul your מקום תפילה during these ימי רצון.  In addition to our minyan in the Main Shul,
we also offer a Nusach S’fard minyan in the Beis Medrash, a Nusach S’fard minyan in our enlarged and refurbished classroom,  and a Neitz HaChamah minyan in the M.P. Room.

For members only, there will be babysitting and Youth Groups on Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.

In order to assist the Seating Committee with the difficult task of properly allocating seats, we ask you to please complete the enclosed Seating Reservation Form and return it with your payment to the Shul Office as soon as possible to ensure that you receive the seats you wish. We encourage you to order and pay for seats online by visiting our website www.whiteshul.com.  Please e-mail the committee at seating@whiteshul.com for a diagram of the seats and where you sat last year. To accommodate the additional seating required, prior years’ seats in the Main Shul will not be guaranteed after September 1.

The member price for seats this year is $90 per member adult and $40 per member child under 18.  Although the Shul relies heavily on the proceeds of seat reservations, we will not turn anyone away from davening with us who legitimately cannot pay for seats.  We also welcome non-members to join us at the non-member price.

Before the Seating Committee will release your seats, your account balance with the Shul must be current.  We urge you not to wait to the last minute to call or e-mail Mrs. Chana Berger (chana@whiteshul.com), in our Shul Office (718-327-0500 ext. 4) if you believe that your account is in error.
